The Fourth Reserve was established in 2017 to safeguard the natural heritage of South East London's New Cross to Forest Hill cutting. We manage a beautiful nature reserve in an urban area and are connected with local wildlife rescuers through providing a release site for rehabilitated birds. We welcome several schools to Buckthorne so children can connect with nature and learn about wildlife on site. Our goal is to safeguard the corridor's natural heritage and create opportunities for the community to enjoy the corridor and surrounding area through connecting with nature and with the area's wonderful history
All proceeds are used to protect, maintain and improve the reserve and to fund the campaign to save The Gorne Wood. Funds are always needed and every little helps.
